Whole Wheat Raisin Bread

A wholesome, lightly sweet bread studded with plump raisins. Great for breakfast toast with butter.

Instructions

    Soak raisins in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain well.

    Combine warm milk, honey, and yeast. Let stand 5 minutes.

    Add flours, salt, cinnamon, and butter. Knead 8-10 minutes.

    Fold in the drained raisins during the last minute of kneading.

    Rise covered for 1 hour until doubled.

    Shape into a log and place in a greased 9x5 loaf pan.

    Rise 45-60 minutes until dough crowns above the pan.

    Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake 30-35 minutes.
